May 2019 Motivation and Fitness Report

So, May was the last full actual month of living in the UK. We knew this was going to happen over a year ago, and thankfully Janet had the move part under control… Me? Well Mr. Lastminute.com didn’t let the side down. So, when the blokes showed up with the moving van to take all out stuff, at least the stuff being shipped, it was a bit of a panic. We went through several alternatives from a do-it-yourself 20′ container to having a full-service moving company do it. At the end of the day, we went with the full-service movers, they did all the paperwork and got it all sorted…

We decided to give away all the stuff we didn’t “really want”, and of course the electronics all had to stay, as they don’t work in the US. So, the only bit to be done was to pack the few things going on the plane and get moving…

Had a fairly serious right rotator-cuff injury in March, and taken 2 months to heal. Along with the outrageous pollen this year in the UK, meant mostly starting over on the fitness side.  On the motivation side, an incredible series of messages at Life.Church called “Chasing Carrots”. All about chasing after things that are pointless. For me, if there is no point, there is no chase…
